Laptop sticker 01 is Gemklip’s take on a classic product that’s been around since the ’90s. Laptop Sticker Ideas in the form of decals have always existed as a means of self expression, a way to show what you believe in without having to explicitly say it. Gemklip created Laptop sticker 01 in an attempt to provide a simple, different, inspiring alternative to the usual stickers.
In the beginning we needed to design a sticker that we would ship out to the winners of ‘ Idea to Market in 100 Days’. However, once the designs came out, it was decided that Laptop sticker 01 would be a product in our store.
Our target audience consisted of the young, modern creatives. That is to say, to fit into their characteristics, we needed a cool slogan matched with an equally cool graphic. The initial ideation for the slogans included a lot of different slogans and mottos, and many design variations too.
We ended up picking the pixel speech bubble, which seemed most appropriate at the time.
Final Design
Packaging
Step two was the packaging. We chose to stick to biodegradable materials for all product packaging. Therefore, we designed a packaging that would enhance the sticker’s worth and look good on display at the store, and when sent to people as a gift.
Plans on paper.
Package design variations
Here, we chose to go with the blue variation. But we omitted the stars since it might come across as childish.
Printed packaging
Final product – Packaged.
Laptop sticker 01 can be pasted pretty much anywhere. It’s your way of staying motivated to reach your goals – and remind you that you’re a dreamer.

One of the lesser known areas in which design creates an impact is social issues. Gemklip has always believed in turning problems into opportunities. However, designing a Social Campaign / movement is a lot like designing a product – it is to turn a problem into an opportunity. This is one of Gemklip’s core principles. …
A common misconception is that the design process and design thinking are both the same thing. People belonging to many different fields try to employ design thinking so that they can think more “creatively”. However, they end up following the design process. People belonging to fields other than design can’t benefit from this. What’s the …
With the new year around the corner we wanted to see if we could challenge ourselves and create yet another calendar. Only this time we wanted to consider the possibility of building something that could be potentially turned into a product as well. Sustainability was a key factor right from the start.
