At Gemklip, we spend a lot of time discussing about simple problems we face on our day to day life -which we take for granted. Most of us are so complacent in dealing with such problems and take no heed in solving it.
” I have a lot of tiny socks and mittens at home. They all belong to my kids. Most of them are single and of course, my kids have grown out of them, now” – Bindu was highlighting her story. She didn’t want to throw them away as it had some emotional attachment to her.
“What do we do with it ? ” the team wondered on.
Further discussions gave rise to the idea of “stuff my toy”, a toy wherein you can stuff your old socks and mittens which were once dear to you. The idea certainly seemed cool and Chloe plunged in to solve the problem.
She wanted to work on happy monsters as it offers an imaginative potential for kids playing with it.
These were the initial ideas sketches that we tried out.
Later, quick mock-ups were done to identify colour and finishes.
It was time to stitch up the prototypes. So far, the progress was pretty exciting.
Everyone loved it. We decided to move out of our studio and get our designs done professionally. Scroll down to view our finished products.
