Problem and Opportunity:
Two major opportunities we encountered with greeting cards were lead by its problems.
– People throw away greeting cards after receiving them (colossal waste)
– Physical greetings cards are losing its relevance due to digital media. (needs re-invention)
We decided to work on these problems and convert these opportunities into products. The challenges were, firstly – how to make the greeting cards sustainable (relevant for a larger period of time rather than a few days after receiving them) and secondly – how to make the greeting card more innovative and interactive for the user.
A lot of designs were experimented. Amongst all, the “pop up greeting card” stood out as really innovative. Below are few things to look up.
