23 March 2019 was quite the eventful day for Gemklip as we had participated in Ripples 2019 – The Annual design event hosted by CPDM (Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing) of Indian Institute of Science.
In addition to our products stall, we had set up multiple spots of engagement to educate and entertain the visitors .
Inspired by the artworks of MC Escher, we had created a piece of illusion of an impossible triangle where the visitors could stand on it and take pictures of themselves.
And then, there was the Big Picture where images of famous personalities who have inspired millions were created by a collaborative effort from the visitors, where they would stamp a QR code in designated spaces on a grid we had laid out. Scanning the QR code would lead them to a quiz on the personalities on Gemklip.com.
We had also set up a social challenge where we invited the visitors to share their ideas and solutions for the problem of gadget addiction kids and youth of the current generation are facing.
There was also a career guidance corner where parents and students could seek information on pursuing a career in design.
Last but not least, we also had our products stall where the visitors could experience them first-hand and directly interact with our design team to gain insights on the development process and the idea conception and also share feedback and their own ideas for new products.
